UVic Digital Commons and Rich McCue
This week we learned about the amazing amount of resources available to Uvic students and alumni at the Digital Scholarship Commons located at the McPherson Library. We had Rich McCue, DSC Manager & “Hacker-in-Chief”, come and chat with us about ways and tools for creating better educational media (video). This was very informative and will help us in our future career as we try to implement and bring more technology to our lessons. We have only been in our program a few weeks, but I can already tell we are going to finish the program with a whole bunch of new tools for our tool box. This is great…and I’m sure there are more to come!
Although this is a very much an aside note. I think I saw Rich few days after his presentation on CBC News talking about his dog “Pork chop” being attack by wildlife. I hope Pork Chop is recovering along nicely.
